Bill Burr at the Brea Improv

Tonight I got to see one of my favorite comedians at the Improv in Brea. Bill Burr was headlining and working out material for an upcoming hour long special he will be taping. His set was awesome and had me laughing until my side hurt. After the show I got to say hi and get my picture taken with him sporting the newest All For One design Dapper Dog. It was a great evening and lots of fun. I highly recommend seeing Bill if he visits your town and also to check out his podcast on iTunes called the Monday Morning Podcast.

The Travels of All For One

I love visiting new places and taking pictures. So I've been thinking of starting a series on the blog that would allow me to post some pictures of where I visit featuring our puppy logo in the photo. This photo comes by way of the Getty Museum in Los Angeles. A very fun place that when I visited was featuring a gallery on the famous artist Rembrandt.

Dapper Dog

Dogs in Art

Today I visited the Getty Museum in Los Angeles and had a very good time checking out all of the exhibits. I especially enjoyed the Rembrandt display showing a lot of the work done by both Rembrandt and his pupils.

I was pleasantly suprised when I started to notice dogs in a few of the paintings I saw. It's nice to know that people have enjoyed the companionship of man's best friend for hundreds of years. I though it would be cool to share a few of the paintings here so all can see.

A Time For Thanks

Happy Holidays to one and all. Now is the time of year that we should all give thanks for those we love and what we have. During a recent trip to visit some family I got to spend a little time at one of the local animal shelters and wanted to share some pictures of the adorable dogs I got to meet.

Looking at these pictures reminds me of why I started this company and why I am so passionate about building a brand that hopefully someday will be synonymous with helping homeless dogs find loving homes.

LA Auto Show Visit

I like to go to the LA Auto Show every year and get an up close look at the new cars that will be coming out in the near future. This year the impact the economic downturn has had on the auto industry was very apparent. Right when I walked in I was greeted by a large open space where the Ferrari booth is normally set up. This set the tone for the show as Lamborghini, Bugatti, and Maserati were also missing from this year's show.

A newcomer for this year's show was Fisker Automotive showing off their impressive hybrids. Both cars were very well designed with slight references to Maserati design cues.

The biggest debut at the show was Mercedes new SLS Gullwing that has been rumored for quite some time. This car easily had the biggest crowd at the show with everyone trying to catch a glimse of the first car designed and built from the ground up by Mercedes performance division AMG.

The LFA, Lexus' first supercar which has a rumored price tag upwards of $400,000 had suprisingly few people checking it out.

Audi had a nice looking electric car on display. Called the E-Tron this vehicle would surely be an attention getter on the streets with its wire wheels and very chrome accents.

All in all the show felt a little less exciting this year. I really hope the economy picks back up and we get the joy of seeing the luxury brands like Ferrai who decided not to come out to LA this year.

An Afternoon At The Dog Park

I like to take Shilo to the dog park as often as possible since she loves to run so much. I used to have to drive close to a half hour to get to the nearest dog park but one just recently opened up much closer to our house so I have a feeling I will get to take her much more often.

When there is other dogs at the park Shilo loves to make new friends. She loves to chase other dogs running around and I don't think I have ever seen her run out of energy.

After the dog that Shilo was playing with left she just sat around hoping another dog showed up for her to play with. Nobody else showed up so after two hours of playing and running around we went home. I think the next time we go I will have to brings some toys for her to play with just in case no other dogs show up.

Napa Valley

I'm currently up in the Bay Area on vacation and visiting some family. Today I took a drive up north a bit to take a look at Napa Valley and see the landscape.

Driving through the city there isn't many places to walk around for photo opportunites. However the area is very colorful and plenty of photo opportunities can be found. Tommorow I'll be going into downtown San Fransisco so we'll see what kind of photos I can get.

Dogs at SEMA Show

This week I was out in Las Vegas for the annual SEMA Show which is a major convention for all things automobile. I have been the past few years but this year was the first time I saw products featured at the show geared towards dog owners. Up first is Honda who was featuring some dog accessories that would tie in to their SUV the Element. They had a leash, a bone shaped accesory that contained bags for potty cleanup as well as a food/water bowl.

Another company called Weathertech was on hand and featuring their line of floor and trunk mats. One of the major parts of their display was a very large poster of dogs taking advantage of the benefits of having a mat in the back of an suv so your car stays clean even after taking your dogs for a drive.

It is really nice to see car companies making products that are geared towards pet owners since most pet owners also have vehicles. It seems like a no brainer to try to tap into that market while making it easier for pet owners to take their pets with them on trips. I know Shilo loves to go for rides as often as possible and any products that make cleanup easier is a welcome product in my book.

Logo Take Two

The feedback on the original attempt of revising our logo wasn't all that great so back to the drawing board I went. The logo pictured above is my second attempt and thanks to the input I received while sketching the logo out I have to admit that I am much happier with this second version. Logo?

Every brand needs a logo that when seen makes people think about your company. The paw logo that All For One currently uses does not instantly make you think about puppies and wanting to save homeless dogs. I have been sketching and doodling trying to come up with a logo that will better represent my mission of saving dogs that are in animal shelters and this is what I have come up with so far.

I would love some feedback on the work in progress logo. The Sadness of Puppy Farms

Lately I have been seeing a lot of awareness being raised on the web around the subject of puppy mills. A puppy mill is basically a location where certain breeds of dogs are bred and raised in mass quantities for the purpose of sales. The people that run these mills do not share a love of dogs that many people do and this leads to living conditions that are simply disgusting.

The best thing we can all do to help put a stop to puppy mills and the abuse of the puppies that are unlucky enough to be born in one is to adopt your puppy from an animal shelter. If you are interested in more information about puppy mills check out http://www.stoppuppymills.org/

West End Animal Shelter

A few days ago I met with Dale Namminga who is on the board of directors for the West End Animal Shelter that is located in Ontario, CA and was given a tour of the facility. I have to say it is one of the nicest animal shelters I have visited with plenty of room for the animals who call it home. The other amazing feature is that the shelter is one of the few in southern California that is a no kill shelter.

The shelter was built in the 1950's and is looking to raise $1.3 million to perform upgrades and repairs which will improve the living conditions for all the animals who reside there.

All For One is very excited to be working with the shelter and will be donating $2 from the sale of every shirt sold where code WESTEND is used at checkout. Big Things To Come

Bark in the Ballpark

While visiting the local library I came across the following poster announcing a bark in the ballpark event at the Quakes stadium here in Rancho. The event will be held three times, on July 1st, July 21st, and August 11th. Seems like a great way to get your pets out for some fun in the sun and to help out the Rancho Cucamonga animal shelter as part of the proceeds from ticket sales goes directly to helping the homeless animals at the shelter. Hopefully we can get some people at the event to sport some All For One gear and spreading the word about helping homeless puppies.

Shilo's Birthday!!!

On Wed June 23, 2009 Shilo had her 2nd birthday and I made sure she had a day to remember. The day started with a trip over to Grandma's house for a play date with her huskie Silver.

Silver is Shilo's best friend and they love to spend the day running around and playing.

After playing for a while and getting tired Shilo and I went home and got ready to celebrate. Since she loves ice cream the cake I got her was a cookies and cream ice cream cake with a scooby doo candle.

Shilo was realy excited and actually barked at some of the other animals we have in the house because she thought they were trying to steal her presents. After we all enjoyed some cake Shilo took her favorite present into her room and enjoyed chewing on it until it was time for bed and her birthday came to an end.

A Little Exploring

Last night we had a pretty bad thunderstorm that kept Shilo and I up most of the night. Even though it was drizzling a little rain outside Shilo wanted to take a walk around the neighborhood and do a little exploring. Check out the video and see how much fun she had.

Bimmerfest Day Trip

Earlier this month I got to take a trip with some friends up to Santa Barbara to attend Bimmerfest 2009. After being lazy I finally got around to loading the photos onto the pc and uploading them to our Flickr which you can find at www.flickr.com/photos/allforoneclothing. It was a great day with a suprise chance at marketing All For One. Check out a couple of pictures below and view the rest on Flickr.

The day started off with a very early drive with many other bmws up the coast.

After a short meetup with even more cars we were on our way again.

So many cars that I would love to own. This was my third year going and the amount of cars has grown every year.

One of the cars on display had a sharpie available to attendees of the event could sign their name on the hood. I couldn't pass on the opportunity to draw our logo and list our website for a little free advertising. Check out the Flickr page to see a close up of my attempt to draw our logo on he car's hood.

Mardi Paws Charity Event

This past Saturday I took a drive out to Rancho Santa Margarita to attend the Mardi Paws Casino night and silent auction whose benefits went to help New Beginnings For Animals an animal rescue shelter. I was really looking forward to the event as we designed the shirt that was given out to all attendees and donated 100 shirts for the event.

Upon arriving it was cool to see our name and logo posted on the sign welcoming all attendees and listing us as a sponsor for the event.

They had plenty of images on display of the puppies that this event was going to help. So many cute puppies that need a loving home.

Poker and craps were played all night long. It appeared everyone had a great time as cheers could be heard throughout the event as people got lucky and thanks to a well planned event everyone came out a winner.

Spary Paint

We are very pleased to announce the release of our fourth shirt just in time for the New Beginnings For Animals Charity Event that is taking place this Saturday April 25th. We will be there taking pictures so look forward to a blog post reporting on how the event went. It is very exciting for us to be taking part in our first charity event and would like to introduce our fourth shirt, Spray Paint.

Visit To The Shelter

Today I took a trip our local animal shelter to spend a little time with some puppies that deserve some attention. I did seem to notice an abundance of pit bulls at the shelter and it seemed like 2 out of every 3 dogs there were pit bulls. It always breaks my heart to see the puppies get all excited as you walk up to there cage and kneel down to say hello. These puppies are the reason why I started this company because they all deserve a loving home with a warm bed to sleep in like my puppy Shilo. We finally got around to getting some stickers ordered and they came in this morning. While taking Shilo for her daily walk some stickers just happened to be placed around our neighborhood.
